Programme Introduction

In addition to performing the operational, technology management, testing and development tasks typical of the electrical engineering field, students who complete the course are also qualified to perform more demanding development and research tasks. The specialization focusing on telecommunications systems has a curriculum that emphasizes the complete convergence of IT and tele communications, the specialization focusing on automation systems has a curriculum that relieson the industry of the region and focuses on programmable control systems that are indispensable in modern technological lines. As a foundation forall of this, the students receive natural science trainingat a higher level than the basic university level. The training starts with subjects focusing on the fields of natural sciences, economics and humanities, and the basic sciences of electrical engineering, followed by specialized subjects typical of the given specialization, as well as optional economic and humanities subjects. The practice-oriented nature of the training is rein forced by the six-month engineering projects and practicals imulation and design tasks assigned to the specializations. The educational themes of the specialized subjects assigned to each specialization include either computer engineering design tasks or laboratory exercises with measurement tasks.

Structure of studies

The total number of credits needed to complete the programme is 180 credits. The courses of the programme are divided into three categories: compulsory courses, the sis courses and elective courses. 1 credit equals 1 ECTS credit, and 1 credit is definedas 25 student working hours.

Language requirements of the course

English as a primary language of instruction: automatic acceptance. Otherwise, one of the following indications of English-language proficiency: (a) TOEFL IBT test score of 66, or PBT score 513, (b) Cambridge First Certificate “B”, (c) IELTS score of 5.5(d) any official certificate equal to the above mentioned.

Academic requirements of the course

Bachelor’s degree relevant to the Master’s studies, English language compliance, list of courses, CV, motivation letter (in English).BA/BScdegrees in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Safety Engineering, Military and Safety Engineering, Military and security Engineering, Engineering Information Technology. Applicants with other types of BA/BSc degrees can also apply, but will have to fulfil some additional requirements.
