Programme Introduction

The aim of the programme is to train mechanical engineers who can operate and maintain machines and mechanical equipment, introducing and applying mechanical engineering technologies, organizing and managing work, and carrying out engineering development, research and design tasks of average complexity, also taking into account the needs of the labour market. They are prepared to continue their studies at Master’s level.

PEO#1 They will possess a fundamental understanding of broader engineering disciplines, a strong practical mindset, as well as solid skills in mechanical engineering, problem solving, leadership, teamwork, and communication.

PEO#2 They will use these skills to contribute to the development of their organizations and communities, and they will strive for the continuous improvement of their technical, professional, and personal competencies.

PEO#3 Throughout their careers and lives, they will make thoughtful, well-founded decisions. They will be successful employees or entrepreneurs in positions related to engineering fields.

PEO#4 They will strive, in their professional practice, to comply with ethical standards, the principles of sustainability, and environmental responsibility.

Our programme is project-based, thus our students gain insight into industrial projects during their studies.

PEO#1: Graduates will excel in developing effective solutions to electrical engineering challenges.

PEO#2: Students will demonstrate proficient communication and competency in automation and infocommunications, whether in practice or through advanced studies.

PEO#3: Graduates will conduct themselves ethically, contribute to societal well-being through their projects and advance professionally in their careers.

PEO#4: Students will stay updated with contemporary changes and engage in lifelong learning.

Language requirements of the course

Accepted proof of proficiency: FCE or CAE, IELTS 5.5+ or TOEFL 69+

  • TOEFL 513 / IELTS 5.5 /oral examination, TOEFL IBT test score of 66 (issued in the last two years)
  • Certificate of any standardised international English language exam corresponding with Hungarian B2 at the Bachelors level and C1 at Master’s level issued by an accredited language centre/ academic institution.
  • In case the student has completed his/her previous level of studies in English, proof can be uploaded about the fact that the language of instruction was English, issued by the institution.
  • If the uploaded document(s) do(es) not meet the above-mentioned requirements, the University relies on an online language interview.

Academic requirements of the course

Copy of secondary/high school graduation results, copy of courses studied. For the fields of engineering, agricultural and business and administration studies, evidence of the study of mathematics is required (school leaving certificate final results).
