Programme Introduction

The Bachelor Degree allows to achieve a university degree and a “frozen” ATPL, in just 3,5 years (7 semesters). After graduation, you will be able to apply for First Officer roles with commercial airlines.

Commercial aviation is a rapidly changing and developing area due to the great technological, regulatory and economic changes that are taking place. The Airline transport Pilot and Engineer Degree is a perfect combination that makes you a more valuable professional in this market.

Why Combine Flight Training with a Degree? The answer is simple: because most Major Airlines require a degree. The path to becoming a pilot involves a lot of work, but if it’s your dream to fly above the clouds, a solid undergraduate degree from an accredited university is a great place to start. Commercial aviation is a rapidly changing and developing area due to the great technological, regulatory and economic changes that are taking place.  

Structure of studies

During their bachelor studies students are required to take up to 210 credits, each semester totaling 30 credits.

There are six core modules in each of the first three years of the programme.

The core modules in the first year are taken mainly from the fields of basic engineering subjects and basic natural scientific subjects, such as Mechanics, Machine Structures Mathematics, Engineering Physics.

In the second and third year the students continue their studies with professional basic mechanical engineering subjects (in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, design systems, CNC machines, production planning, etc.) and the subjects in connection to the field of their specialisation.

In the final semester students are required to accomplish their final degree projects and write their thesis.

  • proof of English language knowledge. IELTS or TOEFL international language exam certificates or proof of successful completion of preliminary studies in English language at an adequate level for starting higher education.
  • copies of the relevant pages of your passport (validity, visas, personal information)
  • To be able to participate in the pilot training submission of an EASA Medical Certificate class 1 is obligatory. If the applicant is unable to obtain the EASA Medical certificate class 1 in their home country – a valid ICAO Medical class 1 flight crew medical rating is also acceptable for the application, provided that the applicant undertakes to obtain an EASA Medical Class 1 flight crew medical certificate in Hungary prior to enrolling to the training.
