Programme Introduction
The programme is aimed at those who are interested in modern technology and cybersecurity issues and their impact on the state, society and economic actors. Graduates in Modern Technologies and Cybersecurity Law will be able to manage IT functions that support an organisation’s cybersecurity, model and design cybersecurity information technology processes, identify and define emerging problems, formulate possible solutions to them, and incorporate best practices into the organisation’s cybersecurity mechanisms. The programme will ensure that students are able to identify the processes that pose a potential threat to governmental, economic and social subsystems generated by cyberspace and related technologies, to understand the legal regulations associated with them, and to identify the need for and be able to draft the necessary regulations within the organisation. They will also be able to identify and use modern technological tools in their organisation in an innovative way, being aware of the relevant legal context and being able to apply it in their daily work.
Specialization: –
The total number of credits required to complete the programme is 120 credits. The subjects of the programme are divided into three categories: compulsory subjects (101 credits), thesis (11 credits) and optional subjects (8 credits).
Language requirements of the course
- TOEFL 513 / IELTS 5.5 /oral examination, TOEFL IBT test score of 66 (issued in the last two years).
- Certificate of any standardised international English language exam corresponding with Hungarian B2 at the Bachelors level and C1 at Master’s level issued by an accredited language centre/ academic institution.
- In case the student has completed his/her previous level of studies in English, proof can be uploaded about the fact that the language of instruction was English, issued by the institution.
- If the uploaded document(s) do(es) not meet the above-mentioned requirements, the University relies on an online language interview.

Job opportunities
As cyber security is constantly evolving, new opportunities are appearing in the field of job opportunities. In line with the comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during the training, graduates as modern technologies and cyber security organizers can manage and coordinate cybersecurity initiatives. So, they will be able to find a job both in private and in public sectors, e.g. as cybersecurity awareness coordinators, cybersecurity program managers, cybersecurity compliance officers. Additionally, the graduates can be employed at cybersecurity authority contact points. The diploma obtained is recognised as equivalent in the European Union.
