Programme Introduction

Students who already have a BA degree in the humanities or social sciences and speak English at least at C1 level can apply to this two- or four-semester programme providing training in the different aspects – language, history, culture, politics, diversity – of American Studies.

This is a joint programme between the University of Pannonia and Nazareth College of Rochester, NY. Students have to accomplish most of their credits in the U.S. but may accomplish one semester at the University of Pannonia – these credits will be accepted as transfer credits by Nazareth College. The degree is awarded by Nazareth College.

Program content

Students are required to complete elective credits at Nazareth College (as identified below), to be determined in consultation with the program director. Electives must be completed in each of the following four areas: 1) American History; 2) Diversity in the American Experience; 3) Literature/Arts/Humanities; and 4) Contemporaty Society

American History:

      other TOEFL exams, or 6.5 or higher on IELTS
    • Admissions interview (personally or possibly via Skype)
