Programme Introduction

To train environmental scientists who have a high level of basic knowledge and corresponding practice in all disciplines necessary for the creative practice of the distinctively multidisciplinary environmental sciences, versatile skills that can be widely applied, general literacy and a modern approach to science. They are prepared to meet societal needs for the management and planning of environmental science. They are qualified to pursue their studies at doctoral level.

Carrier opportunities:

In health, food, plant protection, pharmaceutical, environmental and quality control laboratories. In national parks, nature conservation organisations, environmental, soil and water laboratories, municipal and non-governmental organisations carrying out research, management and service activities.

Application criteria

    • BSc degree in the related scientific field:
      environmental science; from the agricultural field of study: the bachelor’s degree in environmental agricultural engineering, conservation engineering; from the technical field of study: the bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, biology, physics, earth sciences, chemistry; from the technical field of study: the bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, chemical engineering.
    • Proof of Language proficiency – upper intermediate level / CEFR B2 level or higher
      (Having a language certificate is not a compulsory requirement. English communication skills can be proved on the online interview during the application procedure.)
    • Completed entrance exam

    The admission procedure consists of the following parts:

    • online interview (20-30 minutes)
    • evaluation of application documents

    The application procedure is based on an evaluation system of 100 points (50 points are given for motivation and educational background, and the other 50 points for language proficiency and intercultural preparedness according to the online interview). Following the formal check-up of the application documents, the staff of the institute will organize the oral entrance examination. The entrance exam is successful if the applicant reaches at least 60 points.
