Programme Introduction

The primary goals of the Finance and Accounting BA Programme at Eötvös Loránd University are to familiarise students with economic processes both at a macro and a micro level and to acquaint them with the European monetary and business environment with a focus on finance, accounting, and controlling. This programme is recommended to applicants who are keen to become specialists in finance, accounting, and controlling, coupled with an up-to-date approach to business economics. The programme includes a compulsory internship, in an international work environment which gives students a significant competitive advantage in the job market. This programme enables students to become experts in economics and financial planning, to manage financial projects and help financial decision-making in companies.

Application criteria

  • Completed high school / secondary education

 

A two-part entrance examination (written test and oral interview) will take place online via Teams and Canvas. Applications are examined by the Admission Board, and the decision is based on a total evaluation of the academic excellence (based on the submitted documents) and the results of the entrance exam.

  • The online written exam is designed to test your level of English proficiency and your mathematical / logical skills in the form of tests and essay writing tasks.
  • The oral exam is in the form of a short (approximately 15-minute-long) interview on an online platform called MS Teams.

  • Transcript of secondary/high school records of the final two years, with an English translation
  • Secondary/High school certificate/diploma OR a document stating the expected date of issue of this document if it is not available at the time of application, with an English translation

  • Recommendation letter (2, highly recommended)
  • Copy of the main pages of the passport (passport must be valid)
  • Passport photo
  • Copy of application fee transfer slip/payment order
  • Language certificate if applicable (Medium of Instruction is acceptable in case the study language was English and the supporting documents are uploaded)
  • Documents not required, but encouraged: Mathematics exams (SAT Mathematics Subject Test Level II.: min. 680 points or ACT Test : min. 22 points in the Mathematics part).
